Main objectives and activities of the Provincial Environmental Authority
The national environmental act is suspended in the North Western Province in subsequence of the enactment of the Provincial Environmental Statute No. 12 of 1990. This authority is therefore accountable for all kind of duties & responsibilities inclined by the Provincial Environmental Statute in relation with the environmental conservation. The main duties and responsibilities assigned to the Authority are as follows.

- Environmental promotion in the NWP
